Mulbarton restaurant shooting matter postponed

Rowland's case has been postponed.

Daniel Rowland, who stands accused of murder, appeared in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court on September 15, where his case was postponed to November 10.

According to the police, on July 30 at about 18:30 the accused entered a restaurant in Mulbarton where he got involved in an argument with a woman. He then fired at the woman, missing her but hitting two innocent bystanders. One of the victims later died in hospital.

A murder charge was added to the initial charge of attempted murder.

The State is still investigating the matter and suggested the matter be postponed after Rowland was granted bail of R10 000.
