Moffat View SAPS communications officer Sgt Solly Matjila confirmed they apprehended a rape suspect in South Hills on September 16.
This was after a teenage girl was allegedly raped.
“I can confirm a rape case was reported and registered at the station. The suspect was apprehended. The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit was notified and took the victim to the doctor for examination. The protocol was followed and the matter is under investigation,” he said.
