Thirty arrested over the long weekend

Suspects were nabbed on different charges by Booysens SAPS from September 24 to 27.

Booysens SAPS has confirmed that at least 30 suspects were arrested on different charges from September 24 to 27.

Capt Lorraine van Emmerik of Booysens SAPS thanked all role players and members who made the arrests possible.

“Charges ranged from house break-in and theft, malicious damage to property, possession of house break-in implements, possession of stolen motorbike, shoplifting and violation of protection order.

“We had 10 suspects arrested for assault common, two for common robbery, five for Disaster Management Act, three nabbed for drunken driving and three for fraud,” said van Emmerik.
