Launch of Pathfinder Club will help to take children off the street

More children will something to do with their lives as Pathfinder Club is launched.

The Pathfinder Club was launched at the Southern Suburbs Recreation Centre in Rosettenville on June 4.

The club has a life coaching programme for children from five to 17 years.

Shylet Busi Ndlovu from Aya Spa, who introduced the club to the community, said: “We groom them in discipline and give them honours that they can keep and use as a career in future.

“Those honours consist of swimming, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid, technology, pottery, agriculture and building to name a few. We have more than 350 honours that we teach to pathfinders. We also love camping and sports.

“We have launched it in the community of Rosettenville because we believe that it will keep the children away from the streets and we are hoping to raise disciplined citizens of the future.

“We would like to thank the Northern Conference of South Africa under the Seventh Day Adventist Church that came up with this programme to assist our community.”

The children are meeting every Friday at 17:00 at the centre. For more information contact Busi on 081 3727109.
