Believers Care Society invites SMMEs to apply for free business working space

This opportunity is for people who needs working space for their businesses.

Believers Care Society Centre of Excellence (BCS) has established a fully furnished office space/workstation to house 50 SMMEs and to provide business incubation support with free computers, Wi-Fi, internet, telephone, board room and other related resources.

The organisation also assists with free business registration, consultation and advisory support. The lease duration is limited to 12 months period with no personal cost involved.

The type of businesses that are suitable for the office spaces includes marketing and promotion companies, along with services such as consulting, hospitality, IT related, suppliers and distribution, freelancing/training, assessors and moderation, business administration/accounting, and also graphic designers.

Alexander Iheme, programme manager at BCS said the purpose of the business support and incubation programme is to assist young potential entrepreneurs that struggle with their businesses due to a lack of office space and administrative resources so that they can take their businesses to the next level and improve youth economic development and mainstreaming.

“According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Research Statistics, South Africa displays low levels of entrepreneurship uptake by its youth in comparison to their counterparts from middle-income developing countries in other parts of the world.

“This indicates that there is a clear need to stimulate youth entrepreneurship in South Africa by encouraging more young people to consider entering the entrepreneurship program as a viable career choice,” he said.

The requirements for the application are as follows:

• business registration document

• business profile

• certified ID copy and certified proof of residence

The application closing date is August 31. The office space is located at the Edge Shopping Complex, 69 Turf Club Road at Turffontein (next to Turffontein Racecourse).

SMMEs are now encouraged to apply for spaces. The business must be a registered company and if not, they will assist with it.
