AACL Johannesburg Education officer ready to visit your school

The programme aims to educate pet owners on responsible pet care.

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) Johannesburg is proud to announce the launch of new educational material for primary schools in Gauteng.

Primary schools will soon receive their beautiful full-colour, A3 size copies of the new five freedoms for animals posters, as well as the responsible pet care posters and accompanying activity/worksheets, absolutely free of charge.

These will look gorgeous in classrooms and can be incorporated into lessons for information, activities, and discussions.

The foundation phase especially will benefit by incorporating the materials into their animal-themed lesson plans.
More AACL educational material for teachers to access, including posters, activity sheets, info brochures and lesson plans, can be found on the AACL web page under the education heading.

Also recommended recourses are the hero in the hood booklet about the animal clinic and shelter with Lucky’s activity book.

These materials form part of the AACL Johannesburg’s humane education programme that aims to educate pet owners on responsible pet care and animal welfare issues and to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

The AACL Johannesburg education officer, Johann Steenkamp, will welcome an invitation to visit your school to present the responsible pet care programme.

He may be contacted on 011 435-0672 or educate@aacl-jhbnb.co.za to arrange a visit.
