An operation was conducted in Ward 57 with Superintended Dube and his team from JMPD on October 12.
Clr Faeeza Chame said they visited illegal shacks mushrooming in Moffat View and Regents Park, as well as scrap dealers and car workshops that are working on pavements.
“Fines were issued. The illegal workshop vehicles on the pavements will be removed if they don’t comply with the notices. The shacks will be demolished.
“Please report any illegal activities at your nearest SAPS or you can contact me directly at 081 329 7424,” she said.
