Three men arrested for house robbery in Alberton

Alberton security companies and SAPS work together to fight crime in the greater Alberton community.

Alberton SAPS arrested three suspects after a resident reported three men lifting a gate of a house in Langenhoven Street on October 28.

According to Captain Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, they received a call from one of the security companies. When they were called as backup, the members wasted no time in joining the pursuit.

“When the alleged suspects were found to be in possession of tools used to break into houses without a valid excuse, the SAPS arrested them,” said Ramotshela.

“The car that was used to flee the crime scene is still being held at the station and the suspects will soon appear in court.

“It is believed that the suspects also attempted to break into a house on Eike Street in General Alberts Park.”
