Alberton Martial Arts and Fitness bags 149 medals

The Alberton Martial Arts and Fitness won 149 medals at the Sansei Goju Ryu National Championships at the Harry Gwala Indoor Sports Centre in Free State on October 28 and 29.

Students from Alberton Martial Arts and Fitness competed at the Sansei Goju Ryu National Championships at the Harry Gwala Indoor Sports Centre in the Free State on October 28 and 29.

Students participated in a variety of categories, including continuous fighting, wooden weapons, bladed weapons, kata and kumite, to name a few.

Students brought home no less than 149 medals including 52 gold, 67 silver and 30 bronze.

These students include Rifumo Sondlane, Joshua James van der Westhuizen, Michaela Michael, Duane Smit, Ntshovelo Sondlane, Holly Jooste, Gabriel Michael, Jayden Dell, Tiaan Voge, Raphael Johnson, Amarise Coetzer, Andrew Vermaak, Patrice Mazwi, Delinda van Wyk, Bradley Jooste, Keagan Petersen, Amelia Charles, Jared Charles, Alexander Roux, Ansie Sillands, Ryan Fourie, Clarissa Coetzer, Tristan Roux, Tristan Ley, Jacques Roux, Rynhardt Blignaut, Rico le Roux, Ruan Swanepoel, Zade Vermaak and De Wet le Roux.
