Eden Park mother set to plea

Eden Park's mother, Joanne Swartbooi, will reappear at Johannesburg High Court on May 2 for a plea.

Eden Park’s mother, Joanne Swartbooi, appeared before the Johannesburg High Court on April 25 following her appearance a week ago.

During her appearance, the presiding judge postponed her court case to May 2, where she will make a plea before the court.

Swartbooi faces charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice after being accused of killing her boyfriend, Timothy Jacobs, with a baseball bat and burning his body.

She remains in custody after being previously denied bail at Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
