A man was arrested on Pieterse Street, South Crest, Alberton, for house burglary on April 29.
The CPS Security director, Tyrone van der Merwe, said a homeowner called to report someone trying to break into their house late that evening.
Response teams went to the location and searched the house, but the suspect climbed over a fence and fled on foot.
After a brief chase on foot, the suspect was apprehended.
The Alberton SAPS was contacted, and a case was opened.
