Driving licence card machine undergoes routine maintenance

According to the National Department of Transport, it is anticipated that the resumption of card production will commence within the next two to three weeks.

The Department of Transport reassures the public that the production of driving licence cards will not be affected by the routine maintenance of the card production machine.

The department has encouraged members of the public to continue applying for their driving licence cards as normal.

The routine maintenance started on April 5 to April 19. Thereafter, the technical team encountered a breakdown, which requires a replacement of a critical part from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
