Alberton Lion Club look forward to serve the community

The induction of the new Alberton Lion president also celebrated the club's service to the community.

The Alberton Lions Club recently celebrated their 53rd charter anniversary and the induction of their 54th Lion president, Keith Holliman.

The induction lunch, held at Reading Golf Club celebrated the club’s achievements over the last year.

They have been serving over 38 000 people through 365 projects. They also inducted 19 new members in the past 12 months.

Over the past 53 years, the club has been committed to helping their community under the five International Lions service pillars of vision, hunger, diabetes, paediatric cancer and environment.

The club’s volunteer membership is now 66, including its club branch in Fourways.

“Here is to another successful year of service by this wonderful community service organisation,” said Tammy du Plooy of the club.
