Man sentenced to 15 years for armed robbery in Linmeyer
The court recommended deporting Dube to Zimbabwe after the completion of his sentence.
Magistrate Habib, sitting in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court, sentenced Zimbabwean Reliance Dube (23) to 15 years in prison for robbery with aggravating circumstances on October 14.
On July 30 last year in Linmeyer, Dube unlawfully and intentionally assaulted someone and forcefully took six cellphones, jewellery valued at R300 000, two iPads and a laptop.
The aggravating circumstance was that he brandished a firearm.
The court deemed Dube unfit to possess a firearm and recommended he be deported to Zimbabwe after serving his sentence.
