3 men sentenced to 20 years in prison for carjacking in La Rochelle
They all pleaded not guilty in June.
Magistrate Habib, sitting in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court, sentenced three Zimbabwean men to 20 years each in prison for robbery with aggravating circumstances on October 23.
Habib sentenced Qedindaba Moyo (30), Ntokozo Ndlovu (34) and Thabang Hlatshwayo (25) and ordered that they must all be deported to Zimbabwe after serving their sentences.
On June 2, 2022, the perpetrators assaulted a man and forcefully took his vehicle in La Rochelle. The aggravating circumstances were the infliction of grievous bodily harm.
They were all deemed unfit to possess a firearm.
