Nigerian national gunned down in South Hills

Police investigate the motive behind Chinedu Stanley Asuzi's murder, found with multiple gunshot wounds.

A gruesome discovery was made on December 16, in South Hills, Johannesburg. Chinedu Stanley Asuzi, a 50-year-old Nigerian national, was found lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

The motive behind the murder remains unknown, as nothing was taken from the victim.

According to Sergeant Kgwete of the Moffat View SAPS, the incident occurred around 22:00 at 66 Swinburne Street.

The police received a complaint of a shooting and arrived at the scene to find the victim already deceased.

The Local Community Records Centre, the Community Corrections Officer, and the duty officer attended the scene.

A case has been opened and an investigation is underway.
