Mondeor murder case delayed again as accused remains without lawyer
A 19-year-old accused of fatally stabbing another teenager at a pool hall last year will return to court in October.
A 19-year-old is facing a murder charge after allegedly fatally stabbing another teenager (18) at Ballbreakers, a pool hall in Mondeor, on April 5, 2025.
The Booysens Magistrate’s Court heard the case yesterday.
Magistrate Vele once again delayed the case as the accused had no legal representation.
High-risk case
“The case should be at trial. We have had witness issues and countless issues with attorneys. This case has become high risk due to safety concerns, yet no progress has been made,” said Vele.
The court postponed the matter to October 22 for instructions and extended the accused’s bail.
