Talitha hosts inaugural charity golf day

The charity golf day reached its goal to help the children at the facility.

The Talitha Residence for intellectually, severely and profoundly disabled children, based in Daleside in Midvaal, recently had a successful golf day at the highly-rated Maccauvlei Golf Course.

The aim was to raise funds to improve and maintain the facility.

Various sponsors supported the event, and the Midvaal Municipality played a major role. Golfers from all over Gauteng and Vaal attended.

Jafta Benjamin took second place ot the charity golf day.

The winner was Brenton Mey with 41 Points, playing with a seven handicap. The runner-up was Jafta Benjamin, and Anthony Moffat took third place.

Audi and VW Vereeniging, the anchor sponsors of the course, displayed their latest vehicles in front of the newly renovated clubhouse.

All the golfers enjoyed the prize-giving hosted by Clr Mary-Ann Myburgh from Midvaal Municipality. The participants and sponsors enjoyed a hearty meal catered by the Maccauvlei Club and served by the professional staff.

All the golfers were unanimous that they received value for money, and the prizes were of quality and value.
The next event will be on October 18, 2024, at Maccauvlei Golf Course.
