WATCH: Turffontein Primary holds its Grade R graduation

Excitement as Grade R learners graduated at Turffontein Primary School.

Parents and teachers of the Grade R learners in Turffontein Primary School were excited to witness the graduation at the school’s hall on November 21.

Deputy principal Mpho Mzangwe at the opening of the event welcomed, among others, MEC of Health and Wellness Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko.

Nkomo-Ralehoko confirmed that the school is a beacon of hope in the area. “We all know the challenges in this area. However, I want to thank the leadership of this school for shaping the future of these learners. This is a safe haven for them.

“To parents, I also want to urge you not to relegate all the responsibilities to the teachers. Do your part at home. To the teachers and staff, thank you for your dedication as you come here every day.

“The area has changed but the school maintains its quality. It is a fortress of learning and safety around here,” she said.
