EMPD wishes learners well ahead of new academic year

With learners expected to return to the classroom, the EMPD wishes them and the matric class of 2023 well.

As the 2024 academic year begins, the EMPD wishes each learner a successful school year, filled with good grades.

“To all the matriculants of 2023, the results will soon be released. Your hard work and sleepless nights have led to this moment, and you will reap the rewards of your efforts. We are wishing you all the best on your matric results,” said the EMPD’s Thabiso Makgato.

He said the EMPD, in conjunction with the EMPD’s Social Crime Prevention Unit, will embark on various activities and programmes in schools.

“They will focus on educating, interventions and engaging about bullying in school, drug-related issues, cyberbullying, and where children and empowering the youth with information about the consequences of crime and alternatives to make better choices in life,” Makgato said.

He said they hoped and wished to work with the community to identify, prioritise and solve its challenges.
