The Progressive Civics Congress leads a nationwide protest outside police stations, urging South Africans to stand against lawlessness, corruption, and maladministration.
The Progressive Civics Congress (PCC) and other civil society organisations called on communities across South Africa to mobilise for a candlelight vigil outside major police stations on July 11, from 18:00 to 20:00.
The PCC held their observance outside the Mondeor Police Station, where Joburg South residents were in attendance.
The vigil aimed to raise awareness about police corruption and lawlessness.

The country is also ranked among the most corrupt in the world, with over R120 billion lost to corruption and maladministration in government departments and state-owned enterprises.

The PCC and other civil society organisations are demanding accountability and justice, calling for the arrest and prosecution of corrupt police officers, government officials, magistrates, and judges.
