Thabang Thabong Preschool celebrated Adopt a Grandparent Day on Mandela Day

Heartwarming celebration showcase the power of community and kindness

On July 18, Thabang Thabong Preschool marked Adopt a Grandparent Day in celebration of Nelson Mandela Day.

The event brought young learners and seniors together for a day filled with connection, laughter and learning.

The preschool’s efforts to build intergenerational bonds were reflected in the joyful craft-making and planting sessions shared by the children and their older guests.

“I am overjoyed to share this day with the kids and to honour Madiba’s legacy by helping the school,” said Linley Strydom, a parent from the preschool.

Thanks to the dedication of the preschool staff, as well as the generosity of sponsors and parents, the event was a resounding success.
