KFC Steeledale was asked to identify a local organisation to receive the donation. They selected the Look Forward Creativity Centre, which serves vulnerable children in the area. This local connection ensured the donation would have a direct and visible impact on the community.
KFC anticipates that the R80 000 donation to the Look Forward Creativity Centre will have both immediate and lasting benefits for the children and the centre’s programmes. It will help provide daily meals to the children, addressing immediate hunger and improving their physical health and energy levels.

Alleviating hunger reduces stress and anxiety among children, allowing them to engage more positively in learning and social activities. By supporting local initiatives, Add Hope fosters community resilience and empowers organisations to uplift vulnerable children over time.

Add Hope is KFC’s flagship corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at fighting child hunger and promoting holistic development through nutrition and education. The campaign recognises that well-nourished children are better able to learn, grow, and thrive.

By supporting centres like Look Forward, which combine feeding schemes with creative and educational programmes, Add Hope fulfils its dual mission.

Add Hope partners with over 130 NGOs and feeding schemes, including centres such as Look Forward, to ensure that donations support sustainable, community-driven solutions.

There were several standout moments during the Add Hope visit to the Look Forward Creativity Centre that left a lasting impression on the KFC team. The team spent time with the babies and children at the centre, which they described as deeply moving.

These moments highlighted the warmth and resilience of children despite their circumstances.

Rosanne Rooplal, marketing manager of Colefax Trading (a franchisee of KFC), shared, “It was heartwarming to see how our Add Hope efforts are making a difference in the lives of these children.

“The Look Forward Creativity Centre is doing incredible work, and we are honoured to support them. We hope that this contribution will not only provide meals but also inspire lasting positive change in the community.”
“We are grateful to KFC Add Hope for their kindness and generosity,” said Lilian Obasi from the Look Forward Creativity Centre.
“This donation means so much to our team and the children. It gives us hope and helps us continue our work to feed, teach, and care for every child who comes through our doors.”

KFC’s contribution also matches every R2 donated by customers, who can give in-store or via the Add Hope website.
