Mall of the South invites public to celebrate sustainability in waste to art competition

Make your vote count in the Waste to Art competition.

The Mall of the South is hosting the Waste to Art Competition, which celebrates creativity, sustainability and innovation.

The competition features statues crafted entirely from waste materials, and showcases the talent of artists from around Joburg south.

Artists Nancy Mmaloto, Lebogang Buhle Msibi, and last year’s winner, Mmutla Mashishi, have their works on display.

You can view the sculptures at the Palladium Court, Entrance 8, and vote for your favorite piece by scanning the QR code before January 20, thereby supporting local creativity and being part of a sustainable experience.

“Waste to Art is back, and we are excited to see the unique and inspiring artworks on display,” said the mall’s general manager, Hester Smith.

“Let’s celebrate the creativity and innovation of our local artists and help turn waste into wonder,” she continued.
Get involved in sustainability and support local artists through this event, and don’t miss out on this chance to make a difference and have fun.
