ASPHALT BATCH PLANT OPERATOR Description of main duties: Required (candidate): Work- related experience required (include specific skills or abilities necessary to do the job): Asphalt Batch Plant Operator 1. Operate and monitor the asphalt plant to ensure continuous and efficient production. 2. Control aggregate, RAP and bitumen feed rates according to approved mix designs. 3. Monitor mix temperature, production rates and material quantities. 4. Monitor plant equipment and identify faults, breakdowns or abnormal operating conditions. 5. Perform daily plant inspections and basic operational checks. 6. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues to minimise 7.Report maintenance requirements and assist the maintenance team where necessary 1.Operational continuity

Knowledge of asphalt production processes and mix designs. 2. Understanding of aggregate, RAP and bitumen handling. 3. Basic mechanical and electrical fault- finding ability. 4. Ability to identify and report plant faults and maintenance requirements. 5. Basic computer skills for operating plant control systems and completing production records. 6. Ability to work shifts and extended hours when required. 7.
