VACANCY SOCIAL AUXILIARY WORKER (X1) FIXED- TERM CONTRACT (ALRA PARK DAY CLINIC) Critical Outputs/Responsibilities:
•Conduct intakes and psychoeducational groups.
•Conduct community outreach programmes and link beneficiaries to appropriate services.
•Provide information and basic support to families affected by substance use.
•Maintain contact with beneficiaries, monitor progress, identify barriers and report concerns to supervisor.
•Perform administrative duties related to the provision of social auxiliary services.
•Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
•Networking and collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Minimum requirements:
•Matric Certificate.
•Confirmation of registration with SACSSP. *` Understanding of the NPO environment, processes and challenges.
•Relevant experience in the field of substance use disorders will be an added advantage. Competencies:
•Verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
•Building relationships.
•Drive and energy.
•Positive attitude and good work ethic. Compulsory DSD Vetting requirements:
•Police Clearance
•SAPS criminal check.
•Child Protection Register check
•Part B of National Child Protection Register, Children`s Act 38 0f 2005.
•Sexual Offence Register check
•National Register for Sex Offenders, Criminal Law Amendment Act.
