MUNICPAL NOTICE IN TERMS OF SECTION 11(4) OF THE NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL WASTE ACT, ACT NO. 59 OF 2008: THE REVIEW OF THE INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR LESEDI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY.
The Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 11(4) read with Section 73 of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act (Act No. 59 of 2008) as amended (NEM: WA), that Lesedi Local Municipality (LLM) in the Gauteng Province is reviewing the Integrated Waste Management Plan (IWMP). Name of project: The Review of the Integrated Waste Management Plan in Lesedi Local Municipality.
Project description: The proposed project entails the review of the IWMP for LLM in terms of Section 11(4) of NEM: WA, which requires each municipality to submit its IWMP to the Member of Executive Council (MEC) for endorsement; and to include the approved IWMP in its Integrated Development Plan (IDP).

Mamadi Engineering (hereinafter referred to as Mamadi) has been appointed by Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) as an independent Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) responsible for the review of LLM IWMP and the associated Public Participation Process (PPP).
Availability of the Draft IWMP: The Draft IWMP will be available for public review for 30 days, commencing from Wednesday, 30 September 2026 to Friday, 30 October 2026 at the following places:
