Believe in your own dreams and in that you were born to make them come true, no matter what, they are the compass in your life. Your dreams will give your life a meaning and confidence when others don’t believe in them.
Don’t focus on the naysayers, they don’t know you though they think they do. There is too much noise around you, which is people telling you that you can’t do it, it’s hard, you are too short, too tall, and do you think you are special? You are not clever, you don’t have the right colour, etc.
Your dream will help you stay focused against these baseless opinions. We all have 24 hours in a day, 365 days a year (366 – if it’s a leap year) and how you structure your time is up to you. Be honest with yourself and do simple calculations on how many hours every day do you spend investing in yourself?
I mean reading books (especially autobiographies and self-help books), attending classes, attending coaching and mentorship programs, listening to audio CDs and networking sessions. Your success in life is mainly a reflection of how many of the 24 hours (subtract the nine hours you spend at work) do you spend investing in yourself. If not sure, check your results and they will give you the answer. Account for every hour of your time.
The two main things you need to have in order to be happy in life are: 1. Goal (where you are going) and 2. The will to pursue it. Where there is a will there is a way, you have heard of that, it’s true.
