Find your purpose

You were created to create, to invent something unique, not just conform.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honourable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo EmersonMy purpose in life as Veli Ndaba is:

To inspire and empower people to have clarity and discover their purpose in order to become the best version of themselves. This is what keeps me going, grounded and looking forward to tomorrow.

Purpose is not something you create, but it’s expressing your own gifts and talents. It’s about using your strengths to do this. Purpose is not something for the chosen few or special people, it’s for all of us. The school, your employer, parents, church or friends cannot give it to you, it’s already in you, you were born with it. Your task is to get help to clarify your purpose and when that happens, life will be as meaningful to you as it is to me.

What makes you special, what are your strengths? What makes you feel at ‘home’ or comfortable when you do it? For me, it’s speaking, writing and coaching. These above questions will help you pave your way to your stuff. You are unique and special and until you realise this, you will settle in the basement of your potential.

You were created to create, to invent something unique, not just conform. The late Steve Jobs said, “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” This craziness is the one thing that drives you to achieve greater things in life. People call you crazy because you are being driven by a higher and invisible power. Until you are seen as having lost your mind, know that you are conforming to the world instead of being yourself.
