Three important aspects or attitudes about winners

Winners always feel like the clock is moving faster than yesterday.

“Winning doesn’t always mean being first. Winning means you’re doing better than you’ve ever done before.” —Bonnie Blair

Winning cannot become your habit unless defeats have torn you apart. Winning is all in your attitude towards life. One important ingredient you must have in order to win is to be able to sit in the battle-field stitching back yourself one piece at a time, laughing in the faces of all defeats.

Let me share with you three important aspects or attitudes about winners:

• I will see it when I believe it. Winners paint the picture they see in their minds with such specificity, detail, richness and colour and hold on to it, it definitely comes real. The superpower you have is that you can manifest the things you have in your mind into reality. Think of all the things you use to have in your mind that are a reality today. This goes to show that what we think about, we bring about.

• Perpetual sense of urgency. Winners always feel like the clock is moving faster than yesterday. They feel like they have to hurry because time is really running out of time and that makes them more effective and not drag their feet when walking. So, winners attach what they want to their own identity. They know very well that: If you don’t sacrifice what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice.

• The only variable you can control is work ethic. How hard you work at something will determine your results. To get started, pick anything you can work on and give it the best you’ve got. When you share your goals with others, you automatically create mental contracts with them and you’ll have social pressure to perform and raise your work ethic.
