Get more bins to combat littering

I would therefore like to appeal to residents to prepare for these occasions by making sure that sufficient bins are available for this purpose.

I refer to the recent articles regarding rubbish left in the street after a family gathering and, in an endeavour to reduce the friction and unpleasantness which may result from such occasions.

I would like to suggest that perhaps residents who are expecting a large number of people to attend at their premises could consider acquiring a few extra plastic bins to accommodate all the rubbish that is bound to be deposited during this time. Obviously the normal number of bins that residents have on their premises are only adequate for the immediate family members, so it stands to reason that a large gathering of people will require additional bins, and if insufficient bins are available, the end result is that the only place to deposit the rubbish is in the street.

I would therefore like to appeal to residents to prepare for these occasions by making sure that sufficient bins are available for this purpose.
