A RECORD number of 39 gymnasts from Resilience gymnastics club, which is based in the South, took part in this year’s Central Gauteng District competitions. The competition was recently held in Kempton Park for the men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics ranging from level one to level three.
All gymnasts received the required scores to advance to the Gauteng provincials in Eldoraigne, where they again received excellent scores and qualified to take part in the Zone competitions from June 22 to 24 which will be held in Kempton Park.
Bronze, silver and gold medals were awarded at each competition according to the gymnasts’ overall scores. Most of the gymnasts received gold and silver medals.
All the gymnasts will be receiving their Central Gauteng half colours.
All gymnasts put in a lot of extra training for these competitions and the clubs’ coaches and parents are very proud of their results.
