Golfer keen to race to Q-school
PGA, Ruben Labuschagne, will be seeking to enhance his career as a golfer.
ALBERTON graduate from the Professional Golfing Association (PGA) Ruben Labuschagne, will be seeking to enhance his career as a golfer at the IGT race to Queen School.
The objective of the IGT race to the Q-School series is to provide the players with a comparison or ranking system to enable them to rate their average performance against the professionals.

The 24-year-old Labushagne is looking to improve his credibility as golfer by following this route and attending the IGT Race to Q-school from October to February 26, 2018. The tour has already commenced and includes 17 entries.
The former Hoërskool Alberton learner took up the code of golfing at the age of 13 and played in the junior league for two years at the Reading Country club. Together with PGA professional, Phillip van der Merwe and Chanel Schmidt, he did some coaching. He also played rugby for two years for the school’s First team, but due to a knee injury could not play any sport thereafter. However, in 2013 he started his three-year PGA golf course diploma at Centurion Academy and qualified in March 2016.
He completed his 1000 hours and PTA, TAT (practical teaching ability test and teaching ability test) in 2016/2017. He graduated from the PGA on September 18 and played in various Pro-Ams as well as the IGT Race to Queen School.
If any organisation would like to support Labushagne in his effort to complete the IGT Race to Q-school, please contact him on 083 453 1961 or e-mail ruben.mlabuschagne@gmail.com
