Vodacom Bulls win against Lyon
The Vodacom Bulls secured their first-ever Investec Champions Cup quarter-final berth with a commanding 59-19 victory over Lyon at Loftus Versfeld.

The Vodacom Bulls dominated Lyon at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, securing their first-ever quarter-final berth in the Investec Champions Cup with a 59-19 victory.
They outclassed the visitors by scoring nine tries to Lyon’s three, including a penalty try. Sebastian de Klerk and Embrose Papier both scored two tries each.

The Pretoria side capitalised on their opportunities throughout the game, scoring four tries in the first half, and adding five more in the second.

Their solid defence limited Lyon to only one try in the first half and a penalty try early in the second, with Canan Moodie penalized for a high tackle.

Despite Lyon’s efforts, the Vodacom Bulls remained relentless on the attack, with Kurt-Lee Arendse posing a constant threat. Lyon struggled to contain their opponents and could only muster one more try in the 55th minute.
