Locals enjoy Bafana Bafana game

The draw kept Bafana Bafana’s World Cup dreams of reaching the knockout stages of the competition alive.

Bafana Bafana kept supporters on the edge of their seats on June 18 when they watched the World Cup group game against Czechia, at Emperors Palace’s Diski Fan Park in the Red Roman Shed.

After going down 1-0 after only five minutes of the game, supporters were nervous, but a panel of local soccer aces who addressed fans at the park at half-time were confident the boys in green and gold could make a comeback.

Bafana Bafana went on to secure a 1-1 draw thanks to a Teboho Mokoena penalty in the 82’, much to the delight of the fans. It kept South Africa’s dreams alive in the global showpiece.
