Ring in the new year with a four hour SuperSokkie at Carnival City

Revelers will be invited to take to the floor and be emerged in the SuperSokkie while the artists treat them to a four hour party featuring their popular hits

Ring in 2016 with an energetic evening of hip swaying dancing to a soundtrack by some of South Africa’s best loved Afrikaans artists at Carnival City on December 31. Kurt Darren, Nicholis Louw, Gerhard Steyn and Brendan Peyper are collaborating for a grand scale SuperSokkie at the Big Top Arena which will be transformed into the country’s biggest “sokkie” dance floor for the night.

Revelers will be invited to take to the floor and be emerged in the SuperSokkie while the artists treat them to a four hour party featuring their popular hits, from Darren’s “Kaptein” and “Dans op die tafels” to Steyn’s “Baby Tjoklits” and “Sexy Jeans”, and Louw’s “Vergeet en Vergewe” and Elvis Presley renditions.

“Dust off your dancing shoes and be prepared to let your hair down for SuperSokkie on New Year’s Eve. With three of South Africa’s top Afrikaans performers and a grand scale dance floor, SuperSokkie promises to be a thigh slapping, sing a long start to 2016,” says Matthew Cook, the Entertainment and Events Manager at Carnival City.

Tickets to SuperSokkie are available at Computicket and cost R150 per person. Tickets are limited to ensure ample space on the dance floor.
