28 Three-koppie group hike of up to 8km (three hours) through the Melville Koppies on April 28. Hike sets off at 8.30am sharp. Park in the top parking area at Marks Park, Judith Road, Emmarentia, then walk across Judith to our entrance opposite. Cost is R60 for adults and R40 for children. 1 JOIN Brackendowns Baptist Church on May 1 for a 3km to 5km walk in aid of Stepping Stone Hospice and the Cancer Association, the church’s chosen beneficiaries. There will be food stalls and jumping castles. Registration starts at 7am and the walk starts at 8am. Walkers are required to register for R100. 8 STEPFAMILY enrichment course will provide practical, realistic solutions to issues stepfamilies face. This course will help couples who are married, soon-to-be-married, living together or dating with children from a previous relationship. It is presented by Ron L Deal, a world-leading expert in the field of stepfamily enrichment, and is facilitated by members of the Alberton Methodist Church who have successfully raised stepchildren. The course will be hosted at Alberton Methodist Church every Wednesday from May 8 to June 19 from 7pm to 9pm. 20 SAVE the date! Känguru’s annual fun run/walk will be on July 20. Get your family and friends together and come and join us on this day. Run/walk starts at 8am at Känguru Foundation, 43 Garthview Raod, Kliprivier. Tea and coffee available to fight off the morning chill. Food and drinks will be sold. Let’s make it an even bigger success than last year.
