Teachers from Tiny Bubbles Nursery School and Aftercare in Florentia recently took part in the Jerusalema Dance Challenge (#JerusalemaDanceChallenge).

The 17 staff members came together after school hours on August 31 to do the challenge.

“With everything that has happened, it was a positive and fun thing to do. We did this to say thank you to the school’s parents and the community of Alberton for all their love and support during lockdown,” said Carene Koekemoer, principal.

According to Carene, they each practised the dance moves on their own and in their spare time.

“We came together a few times to dance together before recording everything on a video.”

Renier Erasmus is the one who helped with the recording of the video and the school is very grateful for his assistance.

This year in July the nursery school also turned 24, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they decided not to have big birthday celebrations like the previous years due to the lockdown regulations.

“We will go big for our 25th birthday in 2021,” Carene said.

Carene would like to thank her husband, Boet, for being so supportive during all these years and also during this difficult year.
