Three vehicles were recovered, a white hijacked Toyota Yaris, a white Ford Ranger and a Grey VW Golf that were reported stolen.

Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested seven suspects for different crimes in different areas in Johannesburg and recovered three vehicles and one firearm from September 11 to 14.

Among the seven suspects arrested, two were arrested for shoplifting, one for robbery, two for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, one for possession of drugs and one for possession of an unlicensed 7.65 firearm with numbers filed off and ammunition.

Johannesburg Flying Squad communications officer Raymond Sambo said investigation continues in all cases.

“Working together with the community led to these recoveries. SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. It should also be noted that for any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.

“The seven suspects, aged between 22 and 35, appeared in different Magistrate’s Courts facing their respective charges,” he said.
