Three accused of hijacking in Linmeyer denied bail
The three suspects stand accused of hijacking a couple while they were driving on South Rand road in the Linmeyer area.
Three suspects arrested for hijacking a couple in the Linmeyer area have been denied bail in the Johannesburg Central Magistrate’s Court.
The hijacking occurred on June 2 along South Rand Road in Linmeyer, where suspects stole a vehicle with a female still inside.
The suspects were arrested after officers from Fedility ADT and SAPS followed her bank transactions.
The first two suspects had the woman’s bank card and the car keys in their pockets.
The third suspect confessed to officers of the crime and took them to where the car was dropped. This is where officers found the woman and the car.
Two more suspects are still on the run. The three suspects were denied bail.
The three accused will now appear in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court on July 18 to hear the schedule for the rest of the trial.
