Slow start for healthcare clinic

TRAY Bang Hall officially opened its doors to the provision of primary healthcare services on Thursday, 8 August.

Clinic staff attended to 12 people during the day but remained hopeful that the facility will receive more patrons as more people become aware it. Chris Truelock, a visitor to the clinic said: “The clinic is convenient and the staff are professional and helpful. I was treated with respect and people should come to the clinic.”

“We want to see more people taking advantage of it, it saves time and money. There is also security on the premises,” said ward councillor, Billie Prinsloo.

Residents can visit the clinic every Thursday and Friday between 8.30am and 3pm at Tray Bang Hall, 199 Kenyon Howden Road, Montclair. The comprehensive service will provide maternal and child healthcare, ante-natal care, family planning, screening for TB, HIV and other primary healthcare services.
