KZN MEC for Social Development Mbali Shinga attended the graduation ceremony.

Shinga highlighted the programme’s successes, including 18 culinary graduates placed in hotel learnerships, seven garment-making beneficiaries who secured training opportunities, and four electrical graduates who accessed paid workplace learning opportunities.

She said the initiative forms part of the Department’s Integrated Youth Development Strategy, aimed at addressing unemployment, poverty, substance abuse and other social challenges through skills development and economic empowerment.

“To our graduates, your certificates are the beginning of a new journey. Use your skills to create businesses, secure employment and become agents of change in your communities,” said Shinga.
