Zuma hangs up his police hat
MONTCLAIR SAP bade farewell to fellow officer, Capt Mthandeni Zuma on Friday, 27 September, after 30 years of service in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) unit.
Capt Zuma started off his service at Umlazi SAP as a Constable in May 1983. He was transferred to Montclair police station in September 2005. “Since I started on the force, I have always enjoyed my job. I will miss everyone at the station and I thank them for a great working relationship.”
Acting station commander, Lt-Col Bhekizizwe Mthembu said: “I have known Capt Zuma since 2004 when he still worked at Umlazi. He is hardworking, humble, respectful and he loved his job. He was diligent in his work and always kept to deadlines. He was really good at his job. We hope he enjoys his time with his family.”
Many of his former colleagues said they will remember him for his diligence and humility. Station management thank Capt Zuma for everything he has done for the station and the force. He will be missed as a man in integrity who has a clear record with no disciplinary actions against him; an example to the entire police force. His family is also thanked for the many hours he had to spend away from home.
