CPF exco elected
THE newly-elected Merewent Community Policing Forum (MCPF) executive committee hosts two meetings to form its required sub-forums this month.
On Saturday, 28 September the new executive committee was voted in, consisting of chairman, Donovan Anderson; vice chairman, Arnold Mendes; ward 68 councillor, Aubrey Snyman; secretary, Ronald Peterson; deputy secretary, Daya Naidoo; treasurer, Myra Short; PRO, Jean Choudree and members, Saleem Seedat; Sharin Rajman and Nelda Wilkinson.
According to the structure and purpose of the MCPF, which was formed in 2011, two sub-forums must be established to allow the organisation to effectively support the fight against crime within the Wentworth SAP policing area.
One sub-forum will be formed in Merebank and another in Wentworth and all residents are urged to attend their respective public meetings. Wentworth has its turn on Tuesday, 29 October at 6pm at the Austerville Community Centre. Contact co-ordinator, Nelda Wilkinson on 083-605-9251 for information.
