Win tickets to Seven Deadly Sins
TEN lucky Southlands Sun readers can each win double tickets to the preview performance of 'The Seven Deadly Sins' at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on Thursday, 6 February.
Ever wondered why those New Year’s resolutions we all make to banish bad habits seldom outlast the festive season? You’ll soon know why when Durban’s star entertainers, Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert, unleash their latest show, The Seven Deadly Sins, at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from 6 February to 9 March.
In this, their latest stage showcase, billed as ‘a wicked new comedy’, the hilarious duo probe the whys and wherefores that underpin the staying power of lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride, dishing up side-splitting scenarios set to have audiences clutching their abs and hanging onto their seats.
You may well get to meet some recognisable icons from today’s opinion-making public arena. A wannabe-style police figure with a licence to splurge on dirt, dispensing arbitrary titbits from her know-it-all podium. Or Leshé Degenerate, a socially responsible television chat show host spearheading an agony aunt session which unravels into an unbridled gossip orgy railroaded by her studio guests. The possibilities are legion.
With the award-winning likes of Steven Stead as director, Sue Monteregge as co-writer, lighting designer Michael Broderick, choreographer David Gouldie, and stylists Kevin Ellis and Gareth Greaves of Rocco Kage on board, The Seven Deadly Sins promises to roll out the wow factor in dollops. Shows are at 7.30pm Tuesdays to Saturdays, and 6pm Sundays. Tickets are R140 (R80 for the show’s preview performance on 6 February). Booking is through Computicket on 0861 915 8000 or online at www.computicket.com.
