ARCADIA Retirement Village extends its thanks to kind donors who ensured residents had a lovely Christmas.
They dined in style at the Dutch Club, who kindly arranged a lovely lunch accompanied by music, ending off with a scrumptious pudding.
In addition, Checkers donated sweets and various other firms in one way or another also ensured residents had a lovely lunch at Bluff Methodist Church, which kindly rented out their hall and their cutlery and crockery at a very small fee, which was expertly cooked and served by tenants Peter and Betty Oliver and Chrisy Prytz. ‘We Care’ hosted a Christmas party with donations of toiletries and other Christmas goodies from the Freemasons, Curves on the Bluff, Marie and her husband, Gary Brown, and other anonymous donors. The Bluff Methodist choir also joined Arcadia residents for carols and delicious shortbread.
“To one and all we say thank you and may God bless you all for your kindness. Have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year,” said Yvonne Munro (secretary Arcadia residents activities committee).
