Bluffite off to Commonwealth Games

BLUFFITE Sinikiwe Sifumba will represent South Africa in a dramatic performance at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The Rising Star Performing Arts (RSPA) Theatre School student was chosen by the National Theatre and will travel to Scotland in July with the International Performing Company, along with other South African representatives and those from Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, England, India, Jamaica, New Zealand, Northern Ireland and Wales.

She will work with professional in the arts and other performers to create interactive installations and street theatre for the games. According to RSPA Theatre School director, Gill Brunings, Sifumbe wants to use the opportunity to develop her performing arts techniques and learn as much as she can from the international trainers she will be working with.

Accommodation, training and food costs will be covered by the National Theatre of Scotland, but funds are needed to cover flight and visa costs. Anyone businesses interested in assisting with a fundraiser to help Sifumba get to Glasgow, can call Brunings on 083-326-3257 or email gill@rspa.co.za.
