Man killed in tavern
He sustained deep wounds, on his shoulder, wrists and body.

A MAN in his late 20s, who had sustained multiple stab wounds was found lying on the floor in a toilet cubicle at a tavern near a shopping centre at SJ Smith Hostel on Monday, 10 March.
He was found by the owner, bloody and half-naked and died of his injuries a few hours later. Montclair SAP were alerted and arrived at the scene at about 11.15pm. According to witnesses, the victim was drinking with two women and a man.
During the night’s festivities, he was confronted by a man, demanding he pay back his R40. A few minutes later, the man left and the foursome continued their drinking. His friend left the table, leaving him with the women. A while later, the deceased went to the toilet and didn’t return. The two women absconded, seeing he had not returned.
When he was found by the owner, the man was alive, but bleeding profusely. He sustained deep wounds, on his shoulder, wrists and body. It is alleged an ambulance only arrived at the scene at 1.30am. When medical personnel arrived he was still alive, but weak. He was placed on a stretcher and placed in the ambulance, where he died.
