Bushlands WI top table remains unchanged

The only apology was from Kay McKee.

THE Bushlands Women’s Institute (WI) AGM was held at Bluff Bowling Club on 6 March.

Present were president, nine members, two visitors and Southern Hills group executive M Lavis, who were warmly welcomed.

The only apology was from Kay McKee. The women’s institute prayer was recited.

N Brown read her president’s report as did treasurer, A Croucamp, after which M Lavis took the chair and presided over the election of office bearers for the coming year. As there were no new nominations, the existing ‘top tables’ comprising N Brown, A Croucamp and Y Munro were re-elected as president, treasurer and secretary respectively for another year. L Bootes and L Rudolph were also re-elected as committee members. N Brown was the overall winner by entering the monthly competitions.

The general meeting which followed consisted mainly of a comprehensive report on the PTS meeting, especially the group AGM hosted by Woodlands WI on 4 April, which all members were urged to attend. Members were informed the institute competitions for Bushlands on 3 April would consist of the group competitions.

Y Munro and H Caldwell were winners of the raffle prizes. Afterwards talented member Marie Brown held a workshop on making very attractive roses from egg boxes.
