Workshops to offer tips on picture-perfect portraits
Top SA portrait artist visits Toti.
Renowned portrait artist, Willie Jacobs of Pretoria will visit Toti in April and June to conduct three-day workshops on portraits in oils.
The first workshop takes place on 26, 27 and 28 April. A second workshop from 14 to 16 June will be a palette knifework and will include a portrait and a landscape.
Having featured many times in the SA Artist Magazine, Willie will teach local artists how to create a professionally finished and beautiful portrait in oils.
However, anybody wishing to work in acrylics is welcome to participate in the workshops as well.
“We have been extremely fortunate to secure some of Willie’s time, as his calendar is fully booked throughout the year,” said Upper South Coast Art Association president, Joan Ray.
“There are still a few places left for both workshops. This is a unique opportunity to learn some techniques from one of SA’s best and most talented contemporary artists.”
